A Permits is issued virtually and is for the sole use of the vehicle for which the permit was issued for.
Having a parking permit does not guarantee a parking space will be available, and permit holders will not be entitled to reserve any specific parking bay for their exclusive use.
Vehicles and their contents are parked entirely at the owners’ risk and the Council accepts no liability for any damage occurring to vehicles while a permit is in use
Vehicles must be parked in a manner that does not obstruct other car park or road users
Where a permit is intended for use by a vehicle parked in a marked bay (such as in a Council car park or on-street pay and display), permit holders must park wholly in marked spaces
Only cars and vans not exceeding 2.3m in height or 5.25m in length (including roof attachments) or designated for less than 12 passengers can be issued with a permit
It is the responsibility of the permit holder to apply for parking permit renewals when necessary; the Council will not send reminder notices
A permit may be withdrawn either indefinitely or for a specified period in the event of any breach of these conditions of use, as determined by the Parking Manager. The Council also reserves the right to refuse an application if an applicant attempts to fraudulently obtain or use a permit.
It is the responsibility of the permit holder to ensure that their permit is valid at the location they are parking at. Any PCN issued following a failure to meet this condition will not be cancelled.
